Rockstar has released two trailers and a 26:48 gameplay video, “An Extended Look,” published August 27, 2026 and captured entirely on PS5.

Extended Look: what the 26 minutes showed
It premiered on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET on August 27, then hit YouTube and Rockstar’s site at 9 p.m. ET. Rockstar says it was “captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5.” What it showed, according to outlets that broke it down:
- Character switching between Jason and Lucia, as in GTA V, with some missions locked to one character.
- Phone and social: texting with custom emoji avatars and an optional livestream feed on R3, a nod to Lifeinvader.
- HUD: a minimap with 3D buildings, plus health, wardrobe and vehicle-condition icons.
- Crime: a six-star wanted level, an RDR2-style Criminal Profile, dialogue to de-escalate fights, lethal and non-lethal targeting, face coverings and binoculars.
- Car theft: a Slim Jim lock-pick minigame and key cloners for cars with electronic locks.
- Interactions: an RDR2-style context menu (pet, scold or study a dog), grabbing food from fridges and switching lights.
- Activities: basketball, dirt-bike and stock-car racing, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, target practice, the gym and backyard wrestling.
- Wildlife: manatees and birds, plus boars and deer in an in-game TV ad.
